Internet is a vast and mighty being. Yet, I cannot always be one with it. In the wretched hovel of the Bard Who Mocks, the psychic link to the hive mind of Internet is… faulty to say the least. It is yet another reason in my hefty Tome of Reasons to despise Mockingbard.

It is always bittersweet as I watch the flickering modem lights go solid. I know this means the link to Internet has returned. But for how long? It is a sick and twisted curse. I am often given just enough time – perhaps only minutes – with Internet to remember how much I missed it before having the connection swiftly severed again at the most inopportune moment.

Alas, I have been unable to lift this vile hex. It is with a heavy heart that I now blog. Internet has embraced me once more, but if lengthy delays between posts occur in future, it is likely I have somehow fallen again from Internet’s graces and have been stranded in an Offline Hell.

When I am in its glorious presence, I will endeavour to post. But this missive I now scribe should serve as a warning: Internet is a fickle creature and I am unsure when I will be in its favour and when it will turn its back on me. Yet, fear not, loyal and subservient followers. I will do all in my power to make the most of the time Internet gives me to commune with you.

Of course, I speak only for myself. As for the Mockingbard, it can be counted on for naught.
